Organ transplantation is an amazing medical breakthrough that gives renewed hope to those of us with serious, life threatening illnesses. What a new lease on life we have when we receive a healthy functioning transplanted organ!
However, the road to transplantation and life after the transplant can be challenging for both patient and family.

As a health and transplant oach, I am committed to inspiring people to recognize and use their own powerful resources so they can thrive before and after an organ transplant. Armed with knowledge, compassion, understanding, clarity, and creative ideas, I am your partner as you travel the bumpy road from illness to better health.
My own life experience with End Stage Renal Disease has given me a deep appreciation of the highs and lows of the entire process. Since 1991, I have been on dialysis and have had two kidney transplants, one cadaver and one living donation. These experiences have taught me the importance of patience while I waited on transplant lists, the value of optimism when times were uncertain for me, and that generosity and compassion exist when a beloved family member offered to donate his kidney.
I believe that we all have untapped powerful resources that can help us face difficult times. Some of these resources include hopefulness, gratitude, and a positive attitude.
My coaching philosophy and skills have been built on thirty years of experience as a social worker, counselor and epidemiologist at a leading medical school and medical center, renowned in the field of transplantation. I offer my clients a coach who is a positive person and a skilled listener. I view myself as a partner who offers clients empathy, a non-judgmental attitude, someone who can creatively help them to problem solve, and someone who can encourage them to believe in themselves and in their hopes and dreams.
